Crew / Au Pair Wanted - IMMEDIATELY! • Sailing French Polynesia • 2016 Leopard 48 • Aussie/American Family of four (4 yr old girl, 15 mo old boy) • June 1 to October 14 (minimum June 1 - July 23 or Sept 3 - Oct 14) Seeking a female with the following: • Prior sailing experience (preferred not required) • Excellent, strong swimmer (required!!) • Fluent English • Strong French (preferred) • Loves educating and playing with young children (non-negotiable) • Loves adventure and is a team player • Happy to share in cooking, cleaning, child care, sailing • Someone looking for the island hopping experience in a yacht in return for being part of the team and educating/playing with our children. • Available to June 1 to October 14 (preferred) or June 1 - July 23 or Sept 3 - Oct 14 • We are seeking someone who wishes to trade the island experience, a comfortable floating home and food for helping us with our kids and maintaining the household. • Child care or education experience (preferred) • May consider two friends or a couple Why Us! • Awesome big boat with lots of amenities • 4 double cabins /4 full bathrooms • Comforts of home - Dishwasher, Laundry/Washing machine, microwave, grill/bbq, water maker, solar, shaded bow seating, espresso machine, ice cream maker, etc • Lots of toys - surfboard, boogie boards, kayak, paddleboard, wakeboard, scuba dive center/compressor, snorkels, Kiteboard quiver, floaties, spear fishing, fishing, towable tube,underwater scooters, etc • You want to island hop and explore the Society islands, Tuomotus and beyond • You love both water activities and on shore adventures • We love seeking out the best spots for manta rays, swimming with sting rays, friendly sharks, dolphins and whales. Enjoying abundant coral gardens loaded with fish, drift dives/snorkels, nice clean sets (of waves for surfing), wakeboarding behind the dingy, Kiteboarding, beautiful beaches, hiking to waterfalls, bike riding, checking out cute local restaurants and hotels (with nice pools), seeking out tasty French pastries, making desserts, marveling at the stunning sunsets and limitless stars, playing guitar on the trampolene, making fresh sushi, etc. • We prioritize eating nutritional healthy food • Our itinerary is island hopping in the Tuomotus and Society Islands (Bora Bora, Maupiti, Huahine, Tahaa, Riatea) until September, with whale swimming emphasis in end of August/beginning of Sept. Then pack up the boat in Tahiti in October for going back to the States. Why Not Us! • Active 4 yr old on board (who is freaking awesome, incredibly smart and has tons of energy) and a 15 month old (who is the cutest, happiest, simplest little guy you'll ever meet) • We eat protein (ie, meat) at nearly every meal and its tough to accommodate a vegetarian diet. (Its possible, but fresh veg is hard to come by in the Tuomotus). • Not suited for someone who gets tired easily. We are more about doing things than relaxing. (Plus, we have a 4 yr old and 1 yr old). This is a full on, all in 3+ month adventure. (You'll probably need a vacation afterwards ) • We are looking for someone who wants to share the experience with us in return for helping and being a part of our team/family. This is not a professional job. • Internet is fast, but not available all the time • Hot water is available rarely (because it's warm in the tropics and it uses lots of power) and washing hair only happens once a week • This is an exchange (similar to woofing).
